Let’s take a look at some recent sports highlights and how the Tide are making waves this year.

Alabama Basketball: March Madness Bound!

It was never in doubt that Alabama men's basketball would be part of the 2025 NCAA Tournament, but now it’s official! The Crimson Tide earned a No. 2 seed in the tournament, and they are set to face No. 15 seed Robert Morris in the round of 64 in Cleveland on Friday at 11:30 a.m. CT. This marks the fifth consecutive season that Coach Nate Oats has led the Tide to March Madness—and this year, Alabama is looking to make even more noise.

Under Coach Oats, Alabama has secured three top-two seeds, including this year’s No. 2, the No. 1 seed in 2023, and a No. 2 seed in 2021. This feat is remarkable, as no other Alabama coach has done so much to elevate the program. Alabama comes into the tournament after a solid 25-8 season, with a recent loss to Florida in the SEC Tournament semifinals, though they had a strong victory over Kentucky in the quarterfinals. This team is hungry for more after their first-ever Final Four appearance last season, and with seasoned veterans like Mark Sears and Grant Nelson, plus a talented group of young players like Labaron Philon and Aden Holloway, the sky’s the limit for the Tide in March Madness.

Alabama Baseball: Dominating the Volunteers

The Alabama baseball team is off to a strong start this season, and we are all thrilled to see them in action. Recently, Alabama earned its third consecutive win over the Tennessee Volunteers with a thrilling 6-5 victory at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The Crimson Tide improved to an impressive 22-1 record and a perfect 4-0 in SEC play, further solidifying their place as one of the top teams in the conference.

Justin Lebron was a standout in the game, driving in three runs with a key double in the second inning, and Will Plattner also had a strong showing, going 2-for-3 with an RBI. On the mound, Zane Adams delivered an excellent start, striking out six batters and allowing just four earned runs over 6.1 innings. Carson Ozmer finished the job, earning his sixth save of the season. With a team this well-rounded, we can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds for Coach Brad Bohannon and his squad.

A-Day Weekend: One of Our Favorite Traditions

Finally, we are gearing up for one of WalHen Properties’ favorite weekends of the year: A-Day! The 2025 Golden Flake A-Day Spring Game is set for Saturday, April 12, and we couldn’t be more excited. This annual event is the culmination of Alabama’s spring football practices, and it’s a great opportunity for fans to get a sneak peek at the upcoming season. With new head coach Kalen DeBoer at the helm, it will be exciting to see the direction the program is heading as the team prepares for the fall.

The A-Day Game takes place inside the iconic Bryant-Denny Stadium, and while the exact start time is yet to be announced, fans are already making plans to pack the stadium and enjoy the game. In addition to the action on the field, there are always fun activities, tailgating, and fan engagement, making it a weekend full of Crimson Tide pride. For us at WalHen Properties, it’s one of the best weekends of the year to gather with family, friends, and fellow fans as we celebrate our shared love for Alabama football.
